Operation Write Home Celebrates World Card Making Day

I am so excited to be celebrating World Card Making Day with Operation Write Home.  Now this is a holiday I can really get into celebrating.  Be prepared for lots of inspiration today.

For today we were asked to make a thank you card using one of the wonderful sketches from Operation Write Home - Stars and Stamps Blog.  Every week something new to jump start your creativity.

I chose Sketch 191.

When you look at my cards you will see that I brought the back rectangle to the top of the design.  I also made the small rectangle much smaller.  I made two cards - one more masculine and one more feminine.  I hope you enjoy them.  The link to get back to the Stars and Stamp blog is at the bottom of the post.

They're both wonderful! I love how you brought the thanks rectangle up front & made it a focal point and isn't it cool how you can make such different cards by just switching out the paper?

Having 2 different colorways for the same design shows how color changes the "mood". Great mix of patterns on both cards.

I forgot to ask on my prior comment...what is the paper that you used for the feminine card?

Great job with the sketch as a jumping off point. Too often, I do not get past wanting to do it exactly as planned and then cannot seem to make it work for me. Thanks for the inspiration!

That sentiment is the star of the show on both cards. It's fun to see the difference paper choice makes. Well done!
