Oldie Moldie Monday

It is Monday - time to show some love for your old supplies.

The cut apart was laying on my design table along with the papers I used to complete the card.  It was a lucky find.  I have so many friends who could use a little cheering up.  I am trying to send at least one card a week.  Hopefully more if I have time.

Thanks for stopping by.  Remember to show some love for your old supplies, they still make great cards.

Oldie Moldie Monday

It is Monday, time to show some love for your old supplies.

I made this card for a sketch challenge in a private facebook group.

I used paper from an old 6 x 6 pad.  I believe the greens for the leaves came out of the scrap bin.

Text Me a Christmas Wish

I have recently been playing with old book pages and trying my hand at doodling.

The current challenge at Jingle Belles is TEXT.

I first added a layer of gesso on the page page.  I tried doing the doodle by watercoloring first and then adding the black lines or adding the black lined doodle and then painting with the watercolors. Gold splatters and a red mat finished the card front.  It was added to a kraft card base.

I asked my card making group on Facebook if they would like receiving a card like this and they said yes - so it is on my list to make a few of these to mail in December 2024.  They are flat also which helps with the mailing cost.

Thanks for stopping by.

Oldie Moldie Monday

It is Monday - time to who some love for your old supplies.

I was moving a container of paper so I had to peak inside to see what was in there.  I opened up a 6 x 6 pad and the piece of paper with the sentiment on it - talked to me - so I had to make it into a card.

I have one more card made to mail in December.

A Challenge and Easter

I have been playing with my geli plate at my art group and made a couple pink pages I really like.  One page is a lighter shade of pink and the other page is a brighter or darker shade of pink.  The fun and the downfall of geli plate creating is that nothing turns out the same.  Due to this, I take papers I have created and copy them so that I can use them multiple times.  The two shades of pink and with spring coming made me want to use my Honey Bee tulip dies.  Pink tulips always make me think of my Mom.

I am entering my card in the current challenge at The Paper Players.  I have two different shades of pink, white and my card base is grey.

The pink is two different pages created on the geli plate.  The leaves and stem are watercolor paper in my box of papers and the alcohol ink accent paper on the leaves is from the special box of wonderful paper.

I used a background die which impresses the design into the background.  I ink smooshed the white card stock with two colors of oxide ink.  It picked up a couple other colors from the mat I smooshed on.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up.  Everything was adhered to a grey card base.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Oldie Moldie Monday

It is Monday, time to show some love for your old supplies.

I was recently in an ATC swap and the theme was to use scraps.  Everything on the ATC was a scrap.  The gnome die is one I have had for many years.  He is always fun to dig out and use.  I used scraps of patterned paper and cardstock for everything.  The beard and nose were colored with copics.  The ATC was finished with some gold splatters.

This was a fun project to make.  Of course, I did not even make a dent in my scraps.

Remember to show some love for your old supplies.  They still make beautiful pieces of art to bring smiles to people's faces.
