Another Christmas Card
I had this sweet snowman already colored so when I saw the challenge on Merry Monday Christmas Challenge for lights and glitter, I was half way to completing the challenge. I believe this is an Art Impressions Stamp.
I had gessoed a dictionary or book page. I stamped in black ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored the image with different types of coloring tools: Copics, Inkintense Pencils, Distress Ink. I also used Stickles (glitter) and my Wink of Stella pen on the card. The sentiment is placed at the cocky angle - not because I felt cocky - but because - I had red stuff that needed to be hid. Shhhh - don't tell anyone.
I am also entering it in the Weekly Christmas Card Challenge where the challenge is Anything Goes. This fits in quite well with that challenge.
I thought the sentiment worked so well for a challenge for lights and glitter. Enjoy your day. I have a dental appointment early and then going to the movie in the afternoon. Hope to find more time to create another Christmas card - wait - Thanksgiving is coming also - I should make a couple thankful cards.

Graduation from Nursing School
This is an Art Impressions stamp. The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set. I thought the sentiment was perfect.
The Oldie Moldie for today was the Basic Grey paper. I love the pretty colors in this group.
Remember to show some love for your old supplies.

Golf Themed Birthday Card
Finishing up the card this morning, I found two masculine card challenges I am going to enter the card in.
I am so looking forward to my retirement in July. I will be able to play with my toys so much more and be able to create to my heart's content.
Here is today's card.
This is a 5.25 inch square card. The patterned paper is actually a winter collection from Simple Stories but I loved the colors for a masculine card.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your Sunday.

Oldie Moldie Monday
I am also entering this card in the April ODBD monthly challenge on the Operation Write Home blog Stars and Stamps. The challenge is to make a masculine card.
Our Daily Bread Designs will pay postage for up to two boxes of cards to go overseas to our heroes.
Glad to be creating again.

Golf Card
My cousin needed a golf themed thank you card. A friend got her tickets to the Master's Tournament and she wanted to send him a special card. She likes my cards.
I hope you enjoy this card.

Happy Retirement and Art Impressions
My assistant retired today - she has worked part time for me for about the last 7 years - a wonderful person to work with - but alas - the golf course and her grandsons are pulling at her heartstrings and she is leaving me behind. Diana loves to golf and I had bought this die cut from Art Impressions at a local scrapbook show and was going to make her a card - but I got this idea to make a canvas for her. I am very happy with how it turned out - it is a 5 x 7 canvas which is covered with paper and the scene put on the paper. On the back of the canvas I had folded card stock and we all wrote our good byes and best wishes on this - don't you think this was much better than a card.
Now to hire a replacement.

Happy Hello
Can you believe this is my take on the weekly sketch at the Operation Write Home card blog Stars and Stamps. I guess I could not make up my mind.

I made the first card with the greys and pinks (very old collection from Stampin Up) and did not know if I was really too excited about it. The second card is entirely different - I used a square which is a recycled gift card, the orange behind it is the envelope and cardstock. I embossed the cardstock and then I felt I needed a contrast between the upper and lower level colors of cardstock. The sentiment on the bottom card is from Unity Stamps. The thank you image is a digital by our own Paula.
I am also entering this in the Art Impressions challenge - "thinking of you" challenge - I believe a Happy Hello - should qualify as a thinking of you card.
What do you think?

Oldie Moldie Monday - 4-26-2010
Good Monday morning – another work week starts. But of course, Monday does bring Dancing With the Stars and Kate has gone home – so who am I going to make fun of now. Oh woe is me.
Yes it is Monday – Oldie Moldie Monday - time to dig into your supplies and find some of that paper that you once loved but never used, it got buried in the bottom of the pile with new paper put on top – now is time to dig it out and make some beautiful cards. My friend Ivanka and I do this each week on Monday to try and use some of our oldier once loved paper. We even have a Flicker site where you can come join us and post your oldie moldie creations.
This week’s paper is not that oldie moldie. It is only a year old. I used it for a retirement card last year for one of my bosses. I love the colors in this paper. I thought it would make some great masculine cards for Operation Write Home. The first card is based on the weekly sketch at the OWH card blog. The other cards are just my creations using a few masculine stamps (I don’t have too many masculine stamps).
Everyone have a wonderful week and come back next week – we have a challenge and Ivanka and I each have a prize.

Sunday - Do I really need to go back to work?

Good Sunday morning - why do 4 day week ends go so fast and back to work tomorrow and it will be a 5 day week - oh my - I don't know if I will be able to make it through. It is an extremely busy time - so yes - I will make it through - and won't even realize how fast the time went.
My card today is based on the sketch at The Fresh Batch - Stamps and Smiles. Yes I know it is the third card I have made out of this paper - a new year resolution was to use up some of my paper - so if you have the paper out - use it - I put the remainder of the paper in a bag for one of my friends - but I may have to dig it out to make another card. This card will be the beginning of a set of cards for a gift.
Everyone enjoy your day - going to finish up my pulled pork sandwiches today and bake some bar cookies for my son in law. I hope they make it back from Costa Rica today and I hope their car starts when they get back. They were held over for a day.
