Good afternoon - I guess I have been missing in action - actually I have been too lazy to post - I have been making some cards but have not wanted to be on the computer - I must be working too hard at work.
I indulged in some retail therapy yesterday - made a round trip - went to Brookfield to Creative Pals - home store for Whipper Snapper Stamps - did manage to drop some money there - got some new stamps (come back tomorrow to see my new penguin), some new copics and some new paper and ribbon. Next stop Polka Dots in Mukwonago - dropped another boat load of money - but I guess that is good - I am stimulating the economy - they had the new Stampendous and Penny Black stamps - I got the Penny Black penguin stamp I have been looking for - I figure the gas money was less than shipping fees. But I feel so much better.
Today's cards - are actually using a very old pad of Basic Grey paper - I think I only have a couple sheets left of it - this stamp always makes me smile - so I know it will make many people smile because they are cards I made for Operation Write Home. The challenge (midweek throw down was to make a masculine card). I do believe this qualifies. I hope they put a smile on your face.
My dinner is made - yeah - will need to do laundry - watch the Sunday night football game - and I need to rake the leaves into the street. The kids and I got them to the curb on Friday after much enjoyment by the kids with the leaf blower. Girls and boys enjoy a good powerful tool. Lots of smiles by all of them and by me also. It is something they look forward to every year.
Well I must go - keep moving - lots to do and I would like to make some more cards. Everyone have a wonderful day.

Oldie Moldie Monday May 24, 2010

Good Monday morning – up early – need to get to work and work flat out for the next 6 weeks. Hopefully there will still be time for some paper therapy in my evening and week ends. Summer always brings its challenges because you must also do all the things outside. I enjoy both – I have always enjoyed good ole dirt therapy.

Today is Monday – Oldie Moldie Monday – the day to dig into your supplies and find that paper that you bought awhile ago – that somehow got buried and never used. Dig it out and make something wonderful. My friend Ivanka and I try to do this to use up some of jour increasing piles of supplies. We even have a Flicker gallery where you can post your creations.

I have started making cards for Operation Write Home and on Monday I always try to make my cards from their Sunday sketch on their card site. I always try to make a couple – if only I had the time yesterday – I could have just kept going. This Basic Grey grouping – a 6 x 6 pad – has so much fun paper in it and wonderful colors. I have a feeling you will be seeing more of it this week.

Everyone have a wonderful Monday – Dancing With the Stars is on tonight – yeah – the finale – I usually hide out in my work area and create some cards.

Oldie Moldie Monday - 4-26-2010

Good Monday morning – another work week starts. But of course, Monday does bring Dancing With the Stars and Kate has gone home – so who am I going to make fun of now. Oh woe is me.

Yes it is Monday – Oldie Moldie Monday - time to dig into your supplies and find some of that paper that you once loved but never used, it got buried in the bottom of the pile with new paper put on top – now is time to dig it out and make some beautiful cards. My friend Ivanka and I do this each week on Monday to try and use some of our oldier once loved paper. We even have a Flicker site where you can come join us and post your oldie moldie creations.

This week’s paper is not that oldie moldie. It is only a year old. I used it for a retirement card last year for one of my bosses. I love the colors in this paper. I thought it would make some great masculine cards for Operation Write Home. The first card is based on the weekly sketch at the OWH card blog. The other cards are just my creations using a few masculine stamps (I don’t have too many masculine stamps).

Everyone have a wonderful week and come back next week – we have a challenge and Ivanka and I each have a prize.
