Happy Little Stampers March Watercolor Challenge

Yes, it is March 1 in Australia, the home country for Happy Little Stampers.  The challenge is always "anything goes."  Grab your watercolors, make a card and share with us.

Recently I watched a video by Kristina Werner on You Tube where she used this exact stamp from Honey Bee Stamps (I already had it in my new supplies).  She stamped it on black watercolor paper and colored it with beautiful glitter watercolors.

I had neither of those items in my supplies so I improvised.  I had recently bought some black mixed media paper and I had Twinkling H2O's.  These are very old supplies - beautiful shimmery watercolor in a little jar. You may have them hiding somewhere in your craft supplies.

I heat embossed the image with gold embossing powder.  I then colored the image with the Twinkling H2O's.  You did not have to use very much water so I did not have any pilling of the paper.    The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.  I matted the image with some gold paper from my supplies.

It really does shine in real life.

Here is a close up of the flowers and leaves.

I made a second card.  This one is for a friend's birthday.  I just changed the colors of the flowers.

Please join us at Happy Little Stampers for our March Watercolor Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

I love my Twinkling H2Os! I'm always happy to see someone else still enjoying them, too. They are beautiful here against the black! Two gorgeous cards.

Definitely looks awesome, even though I can't see the shimmer & shine! The flowers really look beautiful against those dark backgrounds!
