Hard to believe that June is here but the fun part is that it is time for a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes With Dies. This is a great challenge because "anything goes when you use your dies."
I have been loving playing with my Distress Oxide Inks. I made the background for this card with the inks. I recently found in my supplies this set of stamps that has this dandelion flower on it. I embossed it with brown embossing powder. I recently purchased the Wildflowers die cuts and this flower matches the stamp so well that I wanted to layer them on top. I think I tried every color of oxide ink on the die cuts until I decided to use the blue (which I don't believe was in the background). I wanted the dies to pop on the page so the blue did that. I then stamped the little hello up in the corner. A somewhat single layer card that packs a wallop in different design elements.
Here is a close up of the top of the card. You can see how beautiful the background is, the brown embossed flowers and the blue die cuts.
Here is a close up of the bottom of the card.
Please come join us at Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes With Dies June Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by.

The blue die cut stems look great against the background. Any other colour would have been too distracting I think. :)
What a fab card..love the way you have used your diecuts..
this is amazing Barb, I love how the stems pop off of the background. I just did x2 classes to learn about the Oxides as they were scaring me a bit..playtime this weekend with all the new things I learnt. Cx
