My goodness, Christmas just wound down and we are trying to inspire you to get back on that Christmas card train. You know you will appreciate it next December when you go to mail out your Christmas cards.
The January Christmas challenge at Happy Little Stampers is Anything Goes with the Optional Twist of Reindeer.
This is my second attempt at a reindeer card plus I have 6 reindeer all nicely colored with my Copics. Unfortunately those six colored reindeer could not stir any type of creativity in me to make cards with them. They were not talking to me. Plus the one I had made, I just was not totally enamored with.
This card I like. I needed a quick card to put some money in for a fabulous young man but it had to be quick and easy.
I am always looking for ways to make Christmas cards that are easy and one of the easiest ways to do this is to use gift tags. See the picture below of all the tags in the bag I bought. They are going to make some wonderful Christmas cards for 2019.
I used a piece of Bristol smooth card stock that had been dipped into oxide inks to give it a little color. I knew I needed to add a little green so rummaged on my table and found some green that worked and cut myself a strip. I trimmed off the little hanger for making the reindeer a tag. The strip of green paper was added on the side, the reindeer glued down and the entire thing was matted with red and added to a white card base. I did not even have to add a sentiment because there was one on the reindeer. Quick and easy Christmas card that I like.
Here is a picture of the other tags in the package. The package was originally $1.99 but I am sure I bought it at a percentage off. A very good buy for all the cards I will get out of this batch of tags.
Please come join us at Happy Little Stampers January Christmas Card Challenge and get a head start on your cards needed for 2019.
