Heat Embossed Christmas Card

It is time to kick my you know what into high gear and get some Christmas cards made.

Jingle Belles' weekly Christmas challenge this week is to use embossing - dry embossing, heat embossing, embossed paper - anything embossed.   I thought I could handle this challenge.

I had made the panel I embossed on some time ago using distress oxide inks.  They are rather addictive for making background papers.  I need to spend a nice mindless hour or two and make some more papers.

I die cut the top panel and the sentiment panel.  I removed the sentiment panel and used a Hero Arts Background stamp for the heat embossed snowflake background.  I embossed the sentiment on the little die cut.  The ribbon is seam binding which I died with the bottom distress ink - I achieved balance by placing that color bow at the top of the card opposite the sentiment.  The sentiment was pop dotted and added into the opening.

I really do like how the card turned out.

I am also going to add it to the challenge at Addicted To Stamps and More.  The challenge is Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by.
