Freshly Made Sketches, Operation Write Home and We R Memory Keepers

Card for Freshly Made Sketches

Operation Write Home - Things that Fly

Good evening - a double share tonight - the top card would have worked for both challenges but I had stamped a couple of the birds so I wanted to used them.  Also I cut the circle and strip on the second card and did not like it with the background paper on the first card - so I reversed the colors - you should use your paper when you have it out.  Someone said they liked to use up their 6 x 6 pads - I just seem to collect them - maybe I should make a goal to use this entire pad up.  Hmmmmmm - I wonder if I could do it.

The first card is based on the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  The second card is for the midweek challenge on Operation Write Home's card blog Stars and Stripes to make a card with things that fly.  My birdie flies.

The paper and stamp are both from We R Memory Keepers.

Enjoy your evening.

These card are both very nice. I'm like you. I don't think I've ever used up one whole pad yet after years of crafting. I just keep buying more and more. I wonder about us at times. LOL

So pretty! And I've got lots and lots of paper pads and I don't think I'll ever use them all up! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!

They're both very lovely! I can't decide which I like better. And. . . wait. . . you're supposed to use up all those paper pads? Who knew????

My excuse is that much of the thousands of 12x12 pieces of scrap paper I already have has too large a design for cards. So, I have to buy more small pads. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Your use of a square over a circle is really a nice touch. I am a big fan of 6x6 paper pads and have a small collection. I went in halves w/a friend for a paper pad and was actually able to use all of the half I bought to make cards! Some of the results are on my blog under "Fun with a Designer Paper Pad". It was loads of fun and the cards were good enough for OWH!

Both cards are lovely! I love seeing how people can flip a sketch and make a completely different card. You did a great job!
