Once again it is the first of the month - time for a new challenge on the Mixed Media Mojo blog.
The challenge this month is Harvest.
I chose to use an image from The Graphic Fairy. The site has wonderful images you can use.
I found the paper for my card sitting on my desk. After the image was printed out, all the same colors were in the image and in the picture.
The card is just under six inches square.
All kinds of different elements were used on the card. A torn muslin strip makes up the bow. Several buttons are tucked underneath the bow and the handmade flower I had sitting around. Below is a close up of the bow and flower along with the image.
I added some gold embossing paste to different parts of the card. I just smeared it on. I just wanted some extra texture and color. You can see I also added a doily for another layer.
After I was done I got out my gold spray and misted it in the air. In hindsight I wish I would have masked the image so it did not have the gold spray on it. It still looks nice and I am probably the only person who thinks that.
Please come join us at Mixed Media Mojo this month and play along with our challenge.

Beautiful, love the harvest image, great vintage feel and the bow with the flower is just a gorgeous touch!!
Lovely card! I love the misting of gold and the smear of gold embossing paste! Great design altogether!
I love all of your layers, and the bow made out of muslin is adorable. The gold is just perfect and gives it all such a rich harvest feel.
