We have some beautiful examples of projects using metals on the Happy Little Stampers site.
My creative brain went down many paths before I finally settled on what I wanted to try. I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
I wrapped plain old aluminum foil around a piece of card stock. I did add adhesive to the card stock so the foil would stick to it. I then embossed the card stock in a Tim Holtz embossing folder. I rubbed some VersaMark ink on the embossed foil in random spots and then sprinkled navy blue embossing powder on. I love how it just picks up some of the embossed areas. It gives it a very rustic look.
I used my Silhouette and cut out some gears. I colored them with ink. The motorcycle was stamped with Versafine Ink and embossed with the navy blue embossing powder.
The sentiment is a sticker.
I tied on a twine bow (keeping with the masculine theme. Once the card was assembled I added some small metal pieces to the front of the card. I splattered some more paint on the front of the card.
I am very pleased with how the card turned out considering I used the kitchen staple - aluminum foil.
I hope you will join us this month at Happy Little Stampers.

love this card Barb, so rustic and masculine ...
Mixed media is just perfect for masculine cards! And I like the idea of embossing foil, that is already attached to cardstock! Thanks for this inspiration!
