Oldie Moldie Monday
Still working on the 6 x 6 pad from Cosmo Cricket - 4 more cards made this week - actually made a couple more that were repeats from a previous week. I made these cards trying to keep my sanity from water coming into my basement. Saturday night - I started tearing out the ugly pink carpet. This will probably be an entire summer project of getting the carpet torn out. But back to my cards.
More cards for my next Operation Write Home Box. The images in the middle cards are from a game by Crayola - memory game - well I thought the animals were so cute - they would make great cards.
I do have to look at that last card - hoping it is my photography skills and that the card is not crooked.
Everyone enjoy your Monday and remember to show some love to your old papers.

Canvas - Sew Much Fun
One of my co workers is retiring this Thursday (I think I am safe to post this project - I don't think she visits my blog too often). Maretta is a quilter so I came up with this saying to send her on her happy stitching trail. How lucky was it that the challenge on Our Creative Corner is fashion or style and use a mannequin, fashion or stitching on your project.
I covered a canvas with patterned paper from Basic Grey. It is a wonderful grouping. If you are a sewer - can you pick out all the elements on this canvas. The lace is hand stitched to half of a zipper. I tore a piece of canvas and added a row of zig zag stitching and also a row of wobbly wavy straight stitch. In the upper right hand corner is an old button card (I use to sew so I have all sorts of stuff left). The third button on the card is the center of the flower in the upper left hand corner. The flower in the right hand corner was cut with my Silhouette from recycled card stock. It is colored with Mr. Huey Mists from Studio Calico. The center of the flower is actually the thread that was pulled off the edge of the canvas strip. I cut a paper circle and put gel medium on it and wound the threads into a circle. I put more gel medium on top to hold it in place. The center is a part of a snap - the other part is used elsewhere on the canvas. Did you see the paper from the end of a spool of thread. Some rubber stamps that look like stitches were put around the canvas.
I really enjoyed making this canvas and I know she will appreciate it. The back even looks nice - I should have taken a picture of it also.

Oldie Moldie Monday
And everyone thought I had forgotten to post today - I was just too tired to take pictures last night and do a post. So I did it today. Still working on that Cosmo Cricket 6 x 6 pad. How about that lucky accident - arrows in the paper and an arrow in the question mark. Was that lucky?
These will go in my next Operation Write Home box.

Sweet Sunday
A quick post before I run some errands. I had this typewriter stamp out last week and stamped a couple more images. I stamped one on kraft paper and decided to make a card for Operation Write Home. It was laying on my design table - and then I saw the sketch at The Sweet Stop and thought - this would make a great layout for this image. Keep it simple.
The card is "somewhat" similar to the sketch. (Insert Smile)
I decided to finish up the other image and send a card out to my Mom who is recuperating in a nursing home right now. Something to brighten her room.
I used some very basic paper from Fancy Pants Designs.
Off to Target, Farm and Fleet and the grocery store.

Saturday - Yeah
I got very few cards made this week but I did get one to send off to a special person who is battling cancer. I have had this Hero Art stamp for ages and have not used it but thought it would make a good masculine card also. The paper is from Fancy Pants Design.
Have a wonderful Saturday.

Oldie Moldie Monday
Still working on the Cosmo Cricket 6 x 6 pad I started on last week. More cards for Operation Write Home. Having fun with this paper pad - love the cheerful colors. I know they will bring smiles to many people.
Enjoy Monday - back to work for me today after a week of vacation.

Hello Paper - I Missed You
I was on vacation last week - I was in Orlando, Florida - and it was so nice and warm - even got a little sun - but alas Wisconsin is not that warm. I am able to have the back patio door open today - the sun is shining in so able to keep the door open for some fresh air in the house.
I missed my paper so it was good to play again. Today I made some cards for my Oldie Moldie Monday cards but also came up with this card to do a couple challenges.
The first challenge is from The Paper Players to use something "recycled in your project". Actually all the paper is recycled on this card. The paper is a nice cardstock used in our commencement programs - I went through after the ceremony and picked up a bunch of them - I would have liked to pick up more - but you can only do so much in a limited amount of time. The chevron paper is done using a Studio Calico mask and Mr. Huey mists. The flower was cut with the Silhouette. The top layer of the flower was pop dotted to add some dimension.
The second challenge was from CAS-UAL Friday to use chevrons and flowers.
I don't know if you saw it last week but I was Moxie Fabber of the Week. How special to be chosen for that.
Everyone enjoy the remainder of your Sunday.

More Easter Cards
I wanted to share a couple more Easter cards that I made. The top stamp is from Whipper Snapper Designs and the bottom image is Riley the Moose. I believe the sentiment is from Stampendous. Can you tell I really liked the jelly bean paper from Doodlebug. Once again I chalked around my stamped images so the white was not glaring at you.
Enjoy your Thursday.

Happy Birthday Sasha
Last week I needed another birthday card so this card has no stamping on it - just paper and a wonderful sticker sentiment from SRM Stickers. The paper is a new pad I got at JoAnn Fabrics - it is a new designer they have - I would share the name - but the pad is upstairs - I am downstairs - and I am lazy. The pad had 4 sheets of this paper. I used two sheets for the card. I cut the blossom out of the second sheet and it is pop dotted over the bottom flower. I used the leftover stem to finish the inside of the card.
Everyone enjoy your Tuesday.

Happy April 1 - What Day Is It?
Today is Monday - Oldie Moldie Monday - time to show some love for your old supplies - they are still beautiful - you just need to find them and create some wonderful cards or layouts with them. I am trying to use up some of my 6 x 6 pads (my mand 6 x 6 pads) so I will make cards out of this pad until I am done using all the paper. I will try to use leftover pieces of cardstock, etc to help in the cardmaking process.
The paper pad is from Cosmo Cricket. Lucky me - this car was inside the pad already colored - how lucky can you get. Both these cards will be added to my next Operation Write Home box. Can't you see some parent sending the bottom card home to a little boy who loves cars and know that little boy will just cherish the card he got from his Hero parent.
Everyone enjoy your Monday and show some love to your old supplies. You too can make someone smile with a hand crafted card.
