Oldie Moldie Monday

It is Monday - time to show some love for your old supplies.

The paper I used is a small 6 x 8 paper pack from October Afternoon from 2013.  Do you think it was time to use it.  I made three cards from this small paper group.  I am only sharing two cards today.  If you wish to see the other one, you will need to come back on July 5, 2021.  It is pretty special.

Remember to use your old papers - they still make beautiful things.

Thanks for stopping by.

Oldie Moldie Monday

It is Monday - time to show some love for your old supplies.

I grabbed a 6 x 6 pad of Basic Grey paper and decided to make six sets of junk journal page embellishments.  I will donate them to a non profit so they can sell them

I made some snippet strips and also used a small piece of a snippet to make a covered paper clip.  There is a journaling fold up.  I cut two ticket shapes with my Silhouette and stamped some images on them.  the one with the flowers was put on a layered embellishment.  I also pleated two different pieces of the Basic Grey paper and sewed with my sewing machine.  I also pleated and sewed coffee dyed music paper and a strip of brownish napkin.  In junk journal, anything is game to be used.

Here is the envelope I made from kraft paper and dry embossed.  I made a little embellishment to decorate the lower right corner.  It was tied shut with twine.

Remember to show some love for your old supplies.  They still make fun things.

Oldie Moldie Monday

It is Monday, time to show some love for your old supplies.

These Oldie Moldie creations are for junk journals.  I made multiples of six.

I cut small envelope shapes with my Silhouette out of cream and kraft paper.  I coffee dyed the envelopes before I assembled them.  I decorated the envelopes with some old flowers I had in my supplies.

I also included a dry embossed cream envelope and a dry embossed kraft envelope.

This is the pretty presentation I made to showcase the little envelopes.  The holder was made from an old 6 x 6 pad from Kaiserkraft.

I also made journaling cards.  The one in the back was cut with the Silhouette.  The cream insert was coffee dyed and then stamped.  The pink journaling card is coffee dyed, a brown die cut is glued on top and a sentiment was stamped..  Brown ink was added along the edge to complete the card.

Here are the other three journaling cards I made.  The bird journaling card is Tim Holtz tissue adhered to a base.  The bottom one is a card with pockets on the front and back.  Tags have been tucked into the openings and will be the journaling spots.

Here is the complete selection of journaling cards.

This is how they will be presented.  The envelopes are even oldie moldie - when I worked, on gradution day I would have extra sets of tickets in these envelopes - I kept all the envelopes and I am finally able to put them to good use.  A strip of green calico was tied around the envelope.

This was fun to do.  Something different than always making cards.

Remember to show some love for your old supplies, they still make great stuff.

June Happy Little Stamper's Christmas Challenge

It is already June (how did that happen - oh yes - I was safely at home, but it is time for a new Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers.

The challenge is always Anything Goes but they do give you an optional choice for your card.  This month the option is tinsel.

I chose to do Anything Goes.

My card this month is based on the April Sheetload of Cards.  I you have never heard of Sheetload of Cards or tried it - here is the link.  Aleshia has a new video each month on the first of the month with a new design.

This card is a mini slimline.  I chose to use paper from Penny Black.  I love these nontraditional colors for Christmas cards.  The sentiment is heat embossed.

Please join us at Happy Little Stampers for our June Christmas Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.
