It is time for a new watercolor challenge at Happy Little Stampers. The challenge is the best kind - anything goes - but you do have the optional twist of using something pertaining to Wings.
I chose to use a bird for my challenge card. This is a new Penny Black stamp I recently purchased. It is such a beautiful image and I had so much fun coloring it. I tried to get various shades of the colors in the wings and belly.
I colored the front of my card base with a gold watercolor (yes it is the same gold I used on my card last month - I like it). I had recently purchased a new die cut card front from Honey Bee Stamps and I colored it with the same color as the blue which is used on the head of the bird.
I cut the image with the coordinating die and I used the die to also cut a layer of fun foam. This works great on images for card making. It was adhered to the front of the card with Gina K Connect Glue (I love this glue.)
The die cut smile and the sentiment which I heat embossed on black card stock are also from Gina K Designs.
I finished the card with gold splatters. I love splatters also.
Here is a close up of the bird.

Please come join us at Happy Little Stampers for our July Watercolor Challenge.

You have coloured that bird beautifully Barb. Love the background and those splatters.
I do love your background stripes, a perfect setting for the bird.
ice gives the impression of enchanted dust in the air. Great work with watercolors!
