CAS Mix Up Card Challenge for February

I have participated in this challenge a couple of times and since I always struggle with Clean and Simple cards challenges like this make me step outside my comfort zone.  The Challenge can be found at CAS Mix Up Card Challenge

Their challenge this month is to use Dimensional Die Cuts, Stamping and your choice.

I die cut my HUGS die four times.  The bottom three die cuts are white and I colored the top die cut with distress oxide ink.  I used the same color mixed with water to color the background panel.  It is a very soft color.  I stamped the sentiment in the same distress oxide color on a white strip of paper.  I adhered the HUGS die at an angle to the card front.  I tucked the sentiment underneath the sentiment.  I added a few sequins to dress up the front of the card.  I could not resist the clearish (which appear pink in the photo) heart sequins.

I am also entering it into the weekly challenge at Addicted to Stamps where the challenge is Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by.

Such a lovely CAS card, Barb! The colors are very soft and pretty. I love that you tilted the die-cut sentiment and tucked the sentiment strip under it. And you can see the nice dimension of the die-cut sentiment in the picture. Thanks for joining us at CAS Mix Up!

So pretty Barb! Love the lovely lilac coloured Hugs stacked die that added so much dimension to your one layer card. Using the same colour to create a soft watercolour wash for the background looks fantastic. The sequins add some sparkle. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
