Life is always throwing obstacles in your way. An angry appendix was my latest aventure. It has been removed and I am now healing. I am posting the card I had made for oldie moldie Monday.
This will go in my cards being sent to some soldiers being sent overseas.

Oldie Moldie Monday
It is Monday - time to show some love for your old supplies. This time I have used old paper, old stamps and a sentiment stamp that has never been inked.
I used a Sticker for the soccer ball. It is a little oversized. I made two of this card. One to go in the box going to soldiers stationed overseas. Hopefully someone has a little boy who would love to receive this card.
Thanks for stopping by and remember to show some love for your oldie moldie supplies.

Oldie Moldie Monday
I am sharing a card I made for a challenge blog but decided not to post it to the challenge.
This card will go in a box going to some troops.
This patterned paper is so old and rather thin so it was not fun to work with. I have created a sentiment for baseball and football for a very simple card.

Vintage Tuesday Morning Sketch
I loved the sketch when I saw it at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It is a sketch with many possibilities. I went vintage with this sketch. I used a new 6 x 6 pad of paper from Prima.
Here is the sketch.
The 6 x 6 pad from Prima is very vintage and has lots of pink and black on the papers. The black polka dot was sitting on my table and I thought I needed a contrast between the two layers of patterned paper. I fussy cut the little pieces that form the collage grouping with the typewriter. I thought I needed a little piece of lace in the grouping.
The sentiment is from a set I bought at JoAnn Fabrics for $1.99. One of the best sentiment sets I have bought in a long time and I have gotten my money's worth out of it. There are several others I have and I love them also.
Thanks for stopping by. Making this card started my day on a very happy creative note.

Happy Little Stampers August ATC Challenge
It is time for a new ATC challenge at Happy Little Stampers. The challenge this month is doodle.
I am not a skilled doodler but I am trying to get better. I guess the one thing I have always drawn is flowers - you know as you sit in a meeting or are on a conference call - you draw/doodle a flower. This is what I decided to doodle this month.
The background is very well aged paper that I had just used on a card so I decided to use the last little pieces on my ATC. Orange and pink go together pretty well. Doodling was done with black and white pens. I used some tiny Tim Holtz stickers to add some words.
Please join us at Happy Little Stampers in August and doodle on an ATC.

Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies August Challenge
It is time for the new challenge at Happy Little Stampers for Anything Goes With Dies. Such an easy challenge to enter.
After the card was adhered together, I added enamel dots to the card front. I did put a little glue under each to make sure they did not come loose. I pop dotted the sentiment on the front.
Please join us for our August Anything Goes With Dies Challenge.
I am on a drive to get my birthday cards made for the remainder of 2017 so I chose to make another birthday card with my dies.
I was going to make my own background paper with distress oxide inks but I took the easy way out. I had recently purchased a new 12 x 12 pad and it had this beautiful pink/yellow/orange paper in it.
I had some white card bases and chose to use one of them for my card. Since I wanted my white layer on top to match - I cut apart a card base and trimmed it down. I used a Tim Holtz to die cut the background die in the corner. I then used his wildflower dies and cut three of them to add to the card front to fill in the white area. The sentiment was white embossed on the pink paper and fussy cut out.

Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media August Challenge
Hard to believe it is August already and time for a new Mixed Media Challenge at Happy Little Stampers. The challenge this month is tissue paper.
I had ordered online and my items came wrapped in this beautiful tissue paper and I knew I wanted to use it on a card.
I adhered the tissue paper to watercolor paper with gel medium. I wanted to use a paper that had some body to it to support what I was going to add to the front of the card. I added a layer of snowflake texture paste to add some glisten and texture to the card front.
I colored a circle with Dina Wakely paint to make a matching background for the flower I fussy cut from the tissue. The background matches beautifully. The flower is pop dotted on the matted circle. The circles are also pop dotted for more dimension.
I white embossed a birthday sentiment on a black circle and then cut the top off and pop dotted it to the top of the card. I tied a beautiful bow to bring some more black on the card front.
I had fussy cut another large flower and I put that on the back of the envelope so it will be pleasing to the eye also.

Merry Christmas
It is never too early to start making Christmas cards. Last year I had thought I had used all of these poinsettias up but I found some more so I made two more cards.
I am doing it for several challenges.
Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge for the Month of August is
The next challenge is Shopping Our Stash where the challenge is Countdown to Christmas.
The last challenge is Addicted to Stamps where the challenge is Holiday.
Everything was from my stash - very well aged. Old flower, old brad, old stamp for sentiment and some old paper (but that is not as old as the other supplies. I finished the card off with some gold spray. I made 2 of the card. Two more Christmas cards done - YAY.
Thanks for stopping by. Everyone have a great week end.

Oldie Moldie Monday
It is Monday - time to show some love for your old supplies. Normally I use paper for my Oldie Moldie Monday creations but this time around I am using all old stamps on a background I made.
I was inspired by the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch.
Once again I struggle, a CASE card has lots of white space. Does white space mean white space or does it mean ares with nothing in it. I am going with the latter definition.
I have many gold stamps and the majority of them are well aged. I did buy a new one this year but I put it in a safe place and it is no where to be found. I did use distress oxides for my background. I think next time I will use an oval to make my golf mound. and to use as a mask.
This card is going to a friend. I am making four of this card. One will go in a box being sent over seas to a group of soldiers and the other two will go to my friend who supports two non profit groups with fundraisers and the cards will be sold for those.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Case This Sketch Birthday Card
I try to make CAS cards but sometimes I find it is very difficult to do. I think I nailed it this time.
I am working on some cards for a box being sent overseas to a group of soldiers and thought this card would go in the box plus it was flat and easy for them to mail home.
I decided to use the sketch at Case This Sketch. I use a version of this sketch sometimes when I am creating cards.
I had bought a new 6 x 6 pad at Tuesday Morning (as if I needed another 6 x 6 pad in my collection). It is specifically birthday related so I think I will get good use out of the paper collection.
The background has a very slight pattern to it so that helped me handle all that white space. The stamp is from Jo Ann Fabrics. It is a collection of sentiments in their new $1.99 bins. I have gotten several sentiment sets out of there which I just love.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card. There are so many good causes out there you can make cards for. A fellow card maker I met on Operation Write Home is coordinating this drive for a troop from her state.
