I had bought this cute new stamp set from Lawn Fawn so I had to use it.
The plaid paper is from Lawn Fawn and the yellow is the Bo Bunny dots paper. It is being sent to a sweet little girl.

Oldie Moldie Monday
It is Monday - time to show some love for your old supplies.
The light colored bottom was left over from a card I posted last week. The sentiment is a favorite large sentiment. The dark green paper was in the scrap bin and the green stripe was from a 6 x 6 pad. I made two of these.

Happy Birthday Card
I have been frantically working on cards for a charity auction so this weeks sketch at Freshly Made Sketches helped me get closer to my goal of 50 cards.
Here is the sketch for this week.
This card was made with some double sided paper I had bought. The one side has a light background that adds a little interest to a clean and simple card. The other side is an ombre pink stripe.
I stamped the flowers, leaves and sentiment and used my Scan N Cut to cut out the elements. I then matted a piece of the light side and added the elements on top. I quickly had my birthday card.

Playing With My Inks
I have been wanting to play with my distress oxide inks so I got out two colors and a stamp set I wanted to use. The cards are very simple.
I used the sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday.
Here is the same card but in a different color.
The embellishments I used came in a RAK from a card making friend. It was amazing how perfectly they matched.
I think this would be a perfect sketch for some beautiful patterned paper. I do love my patterned paper.

I am also entering into the Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp where the challenge is to Layer it Up. Lots of layers of inked paper on this card.
I cut a rectangle out of bristol smooth card stock with my wonky stitch die. I then cut two more rectangles out of the same paper and a scrap for stamping the sentiment.
The two rectangles were colored with several layers of the same distress oxide ink. Water was splatted on both pieces to add some more depth of color. The inked background for the sentiment is a stamp from Fun Stampers Journey. I inked it several times and then swirled some water through the stamped blob to blend the ink for a smooth look. I then heat embossed the sentiment over the top. I then die cut the sentiment out with a circle die.

Just Chillin
I am going to enter this sweet little card in several challenges.
The first challenge is AAA Cards - Clean and Simple Cards.
The second challenge is Addicted to Stamps and More.
I had also challenged a group of card making friends to put a bird on it. This is the card I created for all three challenges.
I die cut a panel of bristol smooth paper with my wonky stitch die. I smoothed on a light layer of distress oxide ink. The bird is a stamp from Whipper Snapper Stamps. This is a Wisconsin stamp company - they have lovely fun stamps and they also have a great store in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The sentiment is from Altenew. I bought an entire set of Thinking of You stamps. This stamp set is so versatile. The bird is colored with copics. I added some doodling on the wing, tail and hat.
I made several of this card and they are flying away to add a little cheer to some friend's mailboxes.

CAS(E) This Sketch
I decided to play along with the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch this week.
Here is the sketch.
Here is my card. I used a very muted background from one of my 6 x 6 pads.
Here is a close up of the flower. I stamped the flower and leaves on colored patterned paper. I used my Scan N Cut to cut the flower layers and leaves. I love that new toy.
I am very pleased with how the card turned out. I made three total of this card design.

Freshly Made Sketches
I have tried to play along with Freshly Made Sketches each week. Unfortunately many times I do not get my card posted. Pure laziness on my part.
This week I did do the sketch and here I am posting it.
Here is the Sketch.
I found some patterned papers I liked in one of my many 6 x6 pads. My card is A2. It will be sent overseas to one our Heroes serving their country.
All my layers are inlaid so the card is very flat except for the sentiment which is pop dotted.
I like the combination of coral, teal and gray.

A couple quick cards using scraps found in a box. I added some sewing to change things up a little.

Oldie Moldie Monday
It is Monday. time to show some love to your old supplies.
This card uses washi tape that I have in my drawer. I do ask myself why do I have so much washi tape and tell myself to use it. I made six of this card. The paper is also from an older 6 x 6 pad. The sentiment stamp and dies are new. Your new supplies can make your old supplies more exciting.
I kept a couple of this card for my supplies, one went in my box to support the charities that my friend Mary supports and 3 will go in my Hero box.
Remember to show some love for your old supplies.

January Happy Little Stampers ATC Challenge
It is time for the January challenge at Happy LIttle Stampers for ATC's.
An ATC (artist trading card) measures 2.5 x 3.5. It is to be traded not sold.
Here is my ATC. I had lots of fun making it. I was inspired by a card I had seen on Pinterest so went to my supplies to see what I had that would work. The tree stamp I have had for over 10 years. It is a stamp I reach for many times to make sympathy cards for a male. I used a die to cut the leaf opening.
I had some great chunky embossing powder that I used around the outside edge of the ATC.
Here is a close up of one corner.
Come join us at Happy Little Stampers for our January ATC challenge.

January Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies Challenge
It is time for the first challenge of the new year at Anything Goes with Dies challenge at Happy Little Stampers.
I love challenges that are Anything Goes. You have a whole world of creativity open to you.
I chose to make a birthday card. This card went to my son in law who lives in Alaska. They see moose all the time. When I visited last year in March, my moose siting was in the city limits. Two moose were at the car wash and ambled across the street to Walgreens. How fun. I also made this same design into Christmas cards for my grandsons.
Here is a close up of the moose.
Here is a close up of the birch trees and pine trees.

It is Monday time to show some love for your old supplies.
I found this digi image all colored in a box. I have also had this frame wandering around my crafting area for many years. I thought they went well together.
The background paper is from an older 6 x 6 pad.
This card goes in my hero box.

Happy Little Stampers January Mixed Media Challenge
It is time to dig out your mixed media goodies and play along with the January Mixed Media Challenge at Happy Little Stampers. The challenge this month is
Doesn't a walk in the garden sound lovely on a cold January day.
This is the card I created. It is a card for my daughter for her birthday. I hand delivered it over the holidays. I had to make an envelope for it because it was too fat to go in a normal envelope.
Here is a close up of the upper left hand corner of the card. You can see the cheese cloth that I colored with distress oxide inks and all the flowers were also colored with the inks along with the background for the card.
Here is a close up of the seam tape that I colored with the oxide inks. I love the variation of color I got in all the things I colored.
Here is a close up of one of the flowers I made with a die and crinoline. I die cut the crinoline, colored the shapes and then scrunched them up to dry.
Here is a look of the different things I colored.
I added some embossing paste through a stencil to the base layer of the card. The paste has a beautiful shine to it.
Here are more elements used on the final card. The sentiment was heat embossed. The sentiment is from Altenew.
Thanks for stopping by. Please come get your fingers messy and play with your mixed media supplies and join us for our January Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media challenge which is flower garden.

January Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge
This is my first time to post as a member of the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge. I joined in the hopes that I would have lots of Christmas cards done by the time to mail next December.
The first Christmas challenge for 2018 at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge is
Of course, CAS (Clean and Simple) is something I struggle with but I gave it my best try.
I had bought myself some new dies and wanted to use them. I used the poinsettia. I had cut lots of greenery, colored it with distress oxide inks but they did not make it onto the card.
The wreath is cut from kraft colored card stock. The poinsettia is colored wit many different colors of red. There are two die cuts on the flower to give it some depth. The sentiment is gold embossed.
Here is a close up of the wreath.

Happy New Year and Oldie Moldie Monday
Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you health and happiness.
January 1 is also a Monday so it is time to post an oldie moldie Monday card. The idea behind this is to use old supplies that you have let age.
The paper for this card was a promotional holder for a CD from the big crafters CHA event that was held in January. I just cut down the holder to fit an A2 size card. The flower was even on the paper. I just added the sentiment. This card will go in my Hero box.
Make it a resolution for 2018 and follow through with it to use your older supplies. They still make wonderful projects. I will try to resolve to post most Mondays.
