It
is so exciting to be participating in a blog hop with wonderful products from
Bella Blvd and Canvas Corp.
I
love bright colors and this Sweet Sweet Spring from Bella Blvd was a joy to
create with. The papers are also double
sided which helps coordinate your color choices when crafting. I did get a little carried away and made four
projects.
The
first project is a card. I used a Kraftcard base with canvas fabric on it from Canvas Corp. I used the teal burlap to
mat the pink bunny paper. A strip of
pink floral paper, the yellow scalloped sticker border and Happy Easter
sentiment sticker were added to the top of the panel. A simple bow from the turquoise cord
completed the card.
The
second card is a simple encouragement card using a panel from Bella Blvd. There are so many people who are struggling
at different times and it is nice to be able to send a little snail mail to
them to encourage them and let them know you are thinking of them. The panel is backed with black to make it pop
on the card front. A small piece of the
teal burlap peaks out on one side. The
simple bow is made out of thread pulled from the burlap square. It added the perfect finishing touch to this
card. I did use a glitter pen to add
glitter to the butterfly.
The next project is a small canvas.
I used another panel from the Bella Blvd for the focal point of my
canvas. I think I may use it for a
graduation gift this spring. Three of my
neighbor grandchildren are graduating this spring and I think this says it all
about them. Of course, I don’t think Ben
would appreciate it as much as Kristin or Lexi.
Unfortunately I did not have one of the fabulous canvases from Canvas Corp so I recycled a used one from my stash.
I covered it with Bella Blvd paper.
The paper was adhered with gel medium.
A mat of orange burlap was
then placed on the canvas. The panel was
matted on black. I added a piece of
acrylic which I had painted with the blue from the Spring Collection paint
set. I adhered it to the top of the
panel with small dots of Glossy Accents.
I also added two of the wonderful little clothespins from Canvas Corp. The panel was pop dotted onto the burlap mat. I did use my glitter pen to add glitter to
the rainbow and hearts.
The
last project is for Easter. Who does not
like jelly beans? I made a holder for
the jelly beans using my Silhouette Cameo.
It is tied shut with the green cord.
Of course, you need a coordinating card to go with your gift of jelly
beans. I used another one of the panels
from Bella Blvd (I guess by now you figured out that I really liked all those
panels). I matted the panel with bright
pink. Bright pink is also used as the
mat for the egg paper. A small strip of
the green burlap was stapled to the card front.
(I had to hunt for that stapler and when I used it – there were blue
staples in it – I wonder how old those staples are.) I pop dotted the panel to the card front
after I had added a Cute Clip from Bella Blvd to the top left corner. I then decided the lower right corner needed
a little embellishment also. Once again
I pulled some threads from the burlap fabric and tied a simple bow.
Of course with any good blog hop, we have two prizes (one from Bella Blvd and one from Canvas Corp) but we also have rules.
