Happy Little Stampers August Watercolor Challenge

It is the beginning of August and time for a new  watercolor challenge at Happy Little Stampers

The challenge is always Anything Goes but you do have the option to make it Ocean themed.

I do not have many ocean themed stamps so I went off on a creative journey.  I drew my fish and colored them with different watercolor pens, pencils and paint.  I added doodles with gel pens and a fine line black marker.  I also used some clear Tonic drops to make the bubbles (it actually covers up very poorly done ink bubbles).  Thank goodness I could cover those drawn bubbles with the clear drops.

The background water is six to eight different colors of blue watercolor paint.

Here are some close ups of the fish I drew.  The two fish hiding in the weeds (the weeds were cut with my Silhouette and watercolored) were also cut on the Silhouette.

Please come and join us at Happy Little Stampers and participate in our August Watercolor challenge.

Thanks for dropping by.

Oldie Moldie Monday

It is Monday - time to show some love for your old supplies.

The front of this card is a napkin and I had put it on card stock but never make it into a card.  I used a die cut rectangle to cut it  out and made a Get Well card.

Use those supplies that have been floating around your desk top - they make beautiful cards.

Oldie Moldie Monday

It is Monday - time to show some love for some old supplies.

I was cleaning out stuff and was revisiting paper that I had.  I found some great vintage like paper and I knew I needed to make a birthday card for my friend we called Princess.

Everything on this card has been well aged.

Here is a close up of the flowers.

See - your well aged supplies can make beautiful projects.  Dig them out and use them.

Oldie Moldie Monday

It is Monday - time to who some love for your old supplies.

I will have three of these cards.  I found the images (already colored) on the table when I was cleaning.  I found the embossed backgrounds.  I just stamped a sentiment on the image and now we have three cards.

Remember to show some love to your old supplies.

Happy Little Stampers July Christmas Challenge

It is time for the new July Christmas challenge at Happy Little Stampers

As always the challenge is Anything Goes with the optional twist of sparkle.  Everyone loves a little sparkle on their Christmas cards.

This card is an idea I saw on Pinterest.  (I recently had cataract surgery so creativity was not coming to me so away I went to Pinterest to find some ideas to help me along.)

The purple color is a packet of paper given to me by a friend.  It as a beautiful sheen to it.  I added a layer of the purple to a white card base.  I cut a piece of white Bristol smooth card stock for the white portion of the card.  I wanted the white to have some stability wince I was doing die cutting through it.  After I had cut the snowflakes in the front I added sparkle by spraying it with a sheer silver spray.  It is lovely.

The sentiment was die cut three times and layered together and glued to the front of the card.
Some silver embellishments were added to the front of the card.

This would be an easy card to duplicate.  It took me longer to find my snowflake dies then it did to make the card.

Please come join us at Happy Little Stamper for our July Christmas Challenge.  You know you will be happy you did when December comes around and you get ready to mail your cards out.

Oldie Moldie Monday

It is Monday - time to show some love for your old supplies.

This one sheet of patterned paper has been floating around the design table for years.  It can no longer float - it has been made into two cards being send overseas to help our heroes stay in touch with their families and friends at home.

The hello die is from Gina K Designs and the blue paper was in the scrap box.

The thanks die is from Honey Bee Stamps.

Remember to show some love for your old supplies - they still make wonderful cards.
