Oldie Moldie Monday
I think I am done with that last group of paper - if you back over my Monday posts - you can see I did get quite a few cards done. All these cards will go in an Operation Write Home box. I am making general Winter cards rather than holiday. Who knows when I will have enough to send.
The Hello Stamp is from Hero Arts. I will get many cards out of this stamp for Operation Write Home. You can stamp on colored paper or white and color it to match.
Everyone enjoy your Monday.

More Mixed Media/Wood Fun
I have been playing with some more wood pieces and doing some mixed media. The wood is a very inexpensive canvas to alter. Since I am just playing and trying to experiment, I like to keep my costs low.
I get my wood at Menards in their scrap bin. Sometimes the scraps only cost 49 cents and I can get a couple canvases out of the one piece.
The wood is covered with paper and then layers of paint, ink, rub ons, stickers are added to the picture. The snowman was cut with my silhouette. Since I am not an artist - the Silhouette helps me create.
I am entering this in the weekly challenge from Just Add Ink to add snowflakes to a project. These snowflakes are a favorite rub on. I found several more sheets in my supplies so I will be able to make many more snow related pieces and cards.
Enjoy your Sunday.

Once Again - It Is Oldie Moldie Monday
Still working on those same pieces of paper for Oldie Moldie Monday. I haven't made too many cards lately. Luckily I started these earlier in the week.
Go show some love for your old papers and supplies. They still make beautiful cards.

Mixed Media Dabbling Again
Here is another mixed media project. My daughter liked it and said it would be great in her office so I gave it to her. I do have another one almost exactly like this one.
The scalloped edge is what I did on the side of my last project and liked it so much I wanted to try it on the front of a piece. The "happy" was cut with my Silhouette. I printed the other words on painted dictionary pages and cut them out.
I am having fun but have been working on a remodeling project so have been occupied moving furniture and stuff for the painter. After this project is done and I have returned from my trip to Alaska, I can then focus on finding carpet for the room and hall that are being painted.
I do have a couple cards made for my Oldie Moldie Monday posts. Thankfully I had started them earlier in the week so I could finish them. It is amazing how many cards you can get out of a couple pieces of paper. I am making Winter general greeting cards for Operation Write Home because I don't think I will make the Christmas deadlines.
Enjoy the remainder of Sunday.

Oldie Moldie Monday
I am still working on those pieces of holiday paper from the last couple pieces. I found these three images when I was cleaning. They had not been colored yet so I colored them to match my papers. They are general winter greeting cards that could also work for holiday cards if need be. Operation Write Home can use both types of cards - hard to believe but it is time for our holiday cards to be sent to OWH for our heroes.
Everyone enjoy your Monday and your week.

Another Mixed Media Project
Here is another project done on wood pieces. Having some fun. Was inspired by a rubber stamp I have and some projects I have seen.
this is what the edges of the wood blocks look like. I rather liked this little rustic scalloped border and I used it on my next project. Come back later in the week to see that.
