Sunday, Sunday, Sunday

Good Sunday morning - another beautiful day in Wisconsin - very fall like and I am going to go to a Brewers game today.  But before I get ready to go I had to do the weekly sketch for Operation Write Home - featured on Stars and Stamps.

I never do little strips - I always do one big piece and add a strip of contrast down the middle.  I do need to go revisit this card - make sure it is not my photography skills or me - the little blue stripe does not look straight.

The paper is from We R Memory Keepers and the scallop on the bottom of the sentiment was on the edge of the pages and it is reversible - pink or blue.  The stamp is from Hero Arts and I just cut part of it out - it has a scalloped edge around it - but I liked the way I cut it better.  Designer's choice.

Everyone enjoy your day.

  1. Nice job on the challenge! I always have those thin strips of dsp leftover from cutting, and I think they work perfectly for sketches like this. I love how we all do everything differently :) Great card, and I hope you enjoyed the game :)

  4. Your card is really pretty. Love the papers and using a ribbon as a divider looks terrific. It's a great variation I'll have to keep in mind!

  5. Love the happy, cheerful look of your card Barb. The checks and polka dots go so well together. Nice job with your tiny strip. I've tried that and nope, doesn't work for me. It's more crooked than trying to place the two bigger pieces together. :)

  6. Barb -- Very cheerful card. I'll have to try the tiny strip on a card. The rounded corners are a nice touch. Enjoy the game.

  10. Hi Barb,

I love your choice of papers -- the patterns work so nicely together. I also really like the way the black sentiment pops off the pastel papers.

Thanks so much for all you do for OWH -- including making this adorable card for this week's sketch challenge. :)
