Happy Little Stampers July Watercolor challenge

It is time for a new watercolor challenge at Happy Little Stampers.  The challenge is the best kind - anything goes - but you do have the optional twist of using something pertaining to Wings.

I chose to use a bird for my challenge card.  This is a new Penny Black stamp I recently purchased.  It is such a beautiful image and I had so much fun coloring it.  I tried to get various shades of the colors in the wings and belly.

I colored the front of my card base with a gold watercolor (yes it is the same gold I used on my card last month - I like it).  I had recently purchased a new die cut card front from Honey Bee Stamps and I colored it with the same color as the blue which is used on the head of the bird.

I cut the image with the coordinating die and I used the die to also cut a layer of fun foam.  This works great on images for card making.  It was adhered to the front of the card with Gina K Connect Glue (I love this glue.)

The die cut smile and the sentiment which I heat embossed on black card stock are also from Gina K Designs.

I finished the card with gold splatters.  I love splatters also.

Here is a close up of the bird.

Here is a close up of the sentiment.
