Welcome to my blog today to celebrate World Cardmaking Day - my favorite holiday of the year. I think I will go buy myself a present today - oh yes - I buy myself presents all the time. In fact, this wonderful snowman is a new stamp/die cut I bought from Archievers. It is by Hero Arts. The paper is from Cosmo Cricket. The design of the card is based on this sketch from Operation Write Home. I turned my card the other way.
First I forgot the guidelines for today and I made another card so I had to share it also.
The hello is cut with my Silhouette. The snowman is a stamp/die cut from Hero Arts from last year.

Great cards Barb! I love the purples on the 1st card. And the splash of green goes great with it. Is the paper on second card already embossed with the snowflakes? Or did you do that? Either way, love it!

ReplyDeleteOMGoodness I love that first card. I was just thinking about how much everyone love purple, but I rarely use it. Then you share a fantastic winter themed card using it! I never would've thunk it and I am so grateful you did. Gorgeous!

I especially like the first card! I like the way you used a light purple to "shadow" the snowman, complimenting the other colors in the card. Both cards are nice.

Thank God there is no Archivers near me... it scares me to think of what kind of damage I could do in some of the nicer stores, but I do really like your idea of buying yourself a little present to celebrate this holiday... now to convince myself that a Cameo would be considered 'little'. :)

ReplyDeleteBarb, I love the Cosmo Cricket paper - used a lot of it on my holiday cards last year. If you saw my blog hop card, then you know I like to use non-traditional holiday colors, too. This turned out GREAT!
